I read the blogs and listen to the pundits and the accepted thinking seems to be that this will be an ultra tight race. Alot of nail biting and frustration out there. I guess I don't see it being quite so grim. I think McCain wins by as much as 15 points. The polls will, as they always do, show things to be very tight right up to election day. But on that day, experience will count and it will count big, along of course, with the Palin factor. Once in office, they have to lead. Not seek bipartisanship or media approval. The MSM will be an irritant but not an obstacle. Their is an opportunity for real leadership to fill a major national void, an incredible lack of direction. It wont be easy and mistakes will be made but good leaders make their mistakes going forward and they dont need a political compass to give them direction. We win and we win big. Then its up to us to make a difference
Not only that, I think we make possible gains in the Senate and certain gains in the house. Sure there is a long way to go and alot can happen. But thats true on both sides. I think our candidates are more rooted in their message and clear about their mission. That will make all the difference.
